Kristy Black is happily employed in the higher education field where she applies her exceptional creativity to promote the services for two departments of the university through logo creation, extensive print promotion and social media management. Other hats Kristy is often found wearing in her current position include: event scheduler, manager of web content, promotional swag master, technology wizard, and ring-leader of pop culture geekery.

Kristy is always eager to utilize her graphic design skills and passion for social media and new technology to better serve the needs of college students. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Adult & Continuing Education in order to better serve the students’ interests in a higher education setting. She is also an active Twitter user and is often found tweeting about #highered, #design, and educational technology (#edtech). Kristy graduated from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin in December 2010. She graduated in 3.5 years with a Bachelors of Science in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and minors in both Business Marketing and Psychology. Additionally, she took several graphic design courses. Kristy studied abroad at the Florence University of the Arts in Florence, Italy during the summer of 2010. Throughout her college career she consistently achieved Dean’s List status and had a cumulative GPA of  3.77 GPA on a 4.00 scale. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and was a Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society inductee. Additionally, she utilized her graphic design skills while serving on the Campus Activities Board Publicity Team and was the Promotions Director for WCCX 104.5FM for 2.5 years.
